Esta semana en la clase de Español...

the students in all grades K-4th began to learn the song "Niños Por La Paz", which will be sang on "El Día de la Paz" (Peace Day). Actually, many of the students in 4th and 3rd grade remember it from years past.
The fourth graders practiced
their typing in computer class but they did not type in English, they typed IN SPANISH!!!! This exercise gave them an opportunity to learn to use a few different international symbols such as the ñ (as in niña or Carlos Peña), and the acentos (accents) on the vowels (é). They wrote a few sentences about themselves, then illustrated the sentences, and finally they brought the work home to read to their parents...parents, please remember to sign your name after your child reads it, muchas gracias.

In an effort to help the new students acclimate themselves to the class, we are continuing with review of basic Spanish vocabulary and classroom commands.

¡Que pasen un buen fín de semana!

Hasta luego!
