Tomorrow will be a fun beginning to the day when the entire LD will come together to celebrate International Peace Day. One of the treats is the song "Niños por la Paz" which will be sang by the entire Lower Division, many of you have been hearing it already...sorry :-(
In 1st grade we are reviewing the parts of the body in conjunction with their homeroom curriculum. Señor Cuerpo (Mr. Body) was a great help today. The students had fun placing the parts of the body, however, at times they decided to be a bit silly by placing them in the most unusual places...eyes to the side of the body, upside down legs, etc. They labeled the parts and their pronunciation continues to be spectacular.
Later this week I will be bringing out the Eggspert, which acts like a Jeopardy game. This is another fun way to reinforce vocabulary while having to think fast on their feet, well, actually, they will be sitting down on the floor.
